The Phoenix Diary is the third and last of the journals in Demeteru no Hanashi, described as a red leather-mimicking hard cover with a copper foil inlay of a phoenix rising from the fire. Dömötör describes the events of his life over an undated period of several weeks, in the late autumn of the year 2526.
